The International Chair project on Ageing, developed in collaboration with various Francophone and international partners, will be officially presented at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, on October 13.

Following the participation of DINÂMIA’CET-Iscte researchers Inês Nascimento, Raquel Lopes, Lorenzo Stefano Iannizzotto, and Elian Stefa, under the scientific coordination of Alexandra Paio, in the Lisbon Architecture Triennale Millennium BCP Universities Award, the project Immaterial Matters was selected for the final shortlist of six projects and is currently on display at Garagem Sul – CCB, as part of the Lighter exhibition.

The Arquiteturas Film Festival will take place from 1–4 July 2026 in Porto, Portugal. Organised by INSTITUTO and directed by architect Paulo Moreira, the festival was founded in 2013 and has since become a platform for debating and disseminating architecture in dialogue with the visual and spatial arts, critical thought, and interdisciplinary collaborations.

3 national newspapers (CNN Portugal, TSF Rádio Notícias and Observador), have featured the subject of fare-free public transport, based on the chapter by Nuno Bento (DINÂMIA’CET-Iscte) and João Pereira, included in the report O Estado da Nação e as Políticas Públicas 2025, an IPPS-Iscte initiative coordinated by Pedro Adão e Silva.

The Seminar A Crise da Habitação nos Açores (Housing Crisis in the Azores) will take place on September 10th, 11th, and 12th in Ponta Delgada. The event will include a conference, workshops, and visits.

DINÂMIA'CET-Iscte will participate in NEI2025 – European Researchers Night with the activity Arquitetura Aqui na Escola: Onde Andou na Primária?, organized by researchers Ana Mehnert Pascoal, Ana Rosado, Catarina Ruivo, and Ricardo Agarez.

Joana Pestana Lages, integrated researcher at DINÂMIA’CET, won an ERC Starting Grant worth 1.5 million euros, funded by the European Research Council (ERC) to develop the Housing Freedom project for the next 5 years.

On September 18th, the session 'Asian (post)colonial works, labour and gender through the camera lens' will be held at the SAH Virtual conference. The session examines how photography intersects the histories of work, architecture, and gender in Asian (post)colonial contexts, particularly in Macau.

Rita Calvário, researcher at DINÂMIA’CET-Iscte, will present the paper 'We women fought hard in the fields: rural women and the Portuguese Revolution' at the International Conference Rural History 2025. The event will be hosted by University of Coimbra from September 9th to 12th, 2025, at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and the Faculty of Economics.

The Inaugural Lecture Comunicar Arquitetura! Sínteses da Cultura Arquitetônica (Communicate Architecture! Syntheses of Architectural Culture) will be presented by Paula André (DINÂMIA'CET-Iscte) on August 27th, at 7 PM. The event will take place at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at Mackenzie University (São Paulo).

On September 15, 2025, from 2:30 to 5:15 PM, the Conference Transição Digital nas Organizações - Que Impacto? (Digital Transition in Organizations - Which Impact?) will take place at Iscte, in Building 4 - Auditorium A302. The event is organized by Glória Rebelo (DINÂMIA'CET-Iscte).

The Collaborative Laboratory: Dinâmicas Urbanas, Património, Artes. XI Seminário de Investigação, Ensino e Difusão (Urban Dynamics, Heritage, Arts), coordinated by Paula André (DINÂMIA’CET-Iscte), will hold its 11th edition on August 28 and 29, 2025, at Mackenzie Presbyterian University (São Paulo, Brazil).
