DINÂMIA'CET-Iscte researcher Teresa Marat-Mendes will take part in a debate on ‘The Food Issue’, in conversation with Esther Lohri (Slow Food) and Francisco Moura Veiga (The Good Life Research Studio), to reflect on the role of architecture and urban planning in the functioning of the food system.
The event, promoted by Open House Lisboa, will take place on 9 May, at 17:30, at the Mercado do Bairro Padre Cruz in Lisbon.
Teresa Marat-Mendes' presentation will focus on the Lisbon Region, an area to which the researcher has devoted particular attention in her research, notably through the coordination of research projects funded by national and international grants (MEMO, SPLACH and HAT) as well as the recent City Region Transitions Observatory at DINÂMIA'CET-Iscte.
The Atlas of the Lisbon Region’s Food System, published by Springer and coordinated by Teresa Marat-Mendes, will serve as a guide for this discussion.
