Tecnopapos 2026 | Sharing Knowledge: University Extension in Brazil and Portugal

The project Tecnopolíticas da Participação - Panorama das políticas e práticas habitacionais contra-hegemônicas nos contextos brasileiro e português – invites you to the 2nd edition of Tecnopapos, a series of conversations for inter-institutional sharing and critical debates on technopolitics, democratic participation, and housing policies within the context of both countries.
The first event of this year will take place on 11/05 at 18:00 (PT) / 14:00 (BR), under the theme: Partilha de Saberes: Extensão Universitária no Brasil e em Portugal (Sharing Knowledge: University Extension in Brazil and Portugal). It will feature young researchers Caroline Rocha (University of Brasília), Felipe Litseck (TTC Project), and Henrique Chaves (University of Aveiro) as guest speakers, with a debate mediated by the Technopolitics of Participation Network.
This event is part of the postdoctoral research activities of researcher Ana Carolina C. Farias (DINÂMIA'CET-Iscte) on university extension, based at the University of Brasília, with mobility funded by the FCT-Mobility programme (FCT/Mobility/1300890431/2024-25).

The Technopolitics of Participation project is funded by CNPq (445263/2024-5), through the Knowledge Brazil Programme call – Support for Networked Projects with Brazilian Researchers Abroad. It is hosted by NEST – Centre for Studies on the City Statute, at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the Federal University of Alagoas, Brazil, and its collaborating institutions include DINÂMIA’CET-Iscte – Centre for Socioeconomic and Territorial Studies, CRIA – Centre for Research in Anthropology, and Gestual – Socio-Territorial, Urban, and Local Action Study Group of the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon, Portugal.
