The 7th Meeting Cidades, Arquitetura e Arquivos em contexto Ibero-Americano, coordinated by Paula André, Paulo Batista, and Ricardo Trevisan, will take place on 24 and 25 October at the Casa da Arquitectura in Matosinhos.

O Iscte – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa acolhe a Sessão de Abertura do Doutoramento em Estudos Urbanos (Doutoramento em associação entre o Iscte-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa e a NOVA-FCSH), que terá lugar no próximo dia 16 de outubro, pelas 18h, no Auditório C1.04, Edifício 2.

Following the participation of DINÂMIA’CET-Iscte researchers Inês Nascimento, Raquel Lopes, Lorenzo Stefano Iannizzotto, and Elian Stefa, under the scientific coordination of Alexandra Paio, in the Lisbon Architecture Triennale Millennium BCP Universities Award, the project Immaterial Matters was selected for the final shortlist of six projects and is currently on display at Garagem Sul – CCB, as part of the Lighter exhibition.

The Arquiteturas Film Festival will take place from 1–4 July 2026 in Porto, Portugal. Organised by INSTITUTO and directed by architect Paulo Moreira, the festival was founded in 2013 and has since become a platform for debating and disseminating architecture in dialogue with the visual and spatial arts, critical thought, and interdisciplinary collaborations.

Joana Pestana Lages participated in the infographic report Barracas na área de Lisboa - o regresso de um problema que nunca desapareceu, (Shantytowns in the Lisbon area - the return of a problem that never went away) in the 28 september 2025 issue of Público.

This publication is the result of a collaboration between the Câmara Municipal de Cascais, CIDEHUS – Centro Interdisciplinar de História, Culturas e Sociedades da Universidade de Évora, PPG-FAU-UnB – Programa de Pós-Graduação da Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo da Universidade de Brasília, and DINÂMIA’CET-Iscte.

On October 21, 2025, at Fundação Oriente, the conference Sob o Mesmo Teto (Under the same Roof) will take place, addressing the topic of housing poverty and health.

The Seminar A Crise da Habitação nos Açores (Housing Crisis in the Azores) will take place on September 10th, 11th, and 12th in Ponta Delgada. The event will include a conference, workshops, and visits.

Joana Pestana Lages, integrated researcher at DINÂMIA’CET, won an ERC Starting Grant worth 1.5 million euros, funded by the European Research Council (ERC) to develop the Housing Freedom project for the next 5 years.

The Collaborative Laboratory: Dinâmicas Urbanas, Património, Artes. XI Seminário de Investigação, Ensino e Difusão (Urban Dynamics, Heritage, Arts), coordinated by Paula André (DINÂMIA’CET-Iscte), will hold its 11th edition on August 28 and 29, 2025, at Mackenzie Presbyterian University (São Paulo, Brazil).

Lugar Comum is a DINÂMIA'CET-Iscte research project, coordinated by Ana Brandão, that focuses on public spaces and public life in the metropolitan and extensive city. It examines how these places are formed, used, managed, and transformed, giving visibility to everyday practices and spaces to understand the production of the built environment and to debate future challenges.
