DINÂMIA’CET researcher interviewed by RTP1 about youth unemployment

Paulo Marques, DINÂMIA’CET-Iscte researcher and coordinator of the Youth Employment Observatory, was interviewed by RTP1 for a special report on the challenges of youth unemployment in Portugal.

The report addressed key issues characterizing entry into the Portuguese labor market, specifically the persistence of high unemployment rates among the less qualified, the over-qualification of a significant number of young graduates, and the need to strengthen vocational training policies and the transition from education to employment.

His remarks also highlighted the importance of developing public policies more focused on youth groups facing greater difficulties in entering the workforce, as well as increasing investment in vocational education systems with strong links to the business sector.
