DINÂMIA’CET-Iscte in the Cátedra Internacional sobre o Envelhecimento to be presented at UNESCO

The Cátedra Internacional sobre o Envelhecimento (International Chair on Ageing) project, developed in collaboration with several francophone and international partners, will be officially presented at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris on 13 October.

The meeting aims to present the foundations and vision of the project, which seeks to promote a scientific and collaborative approach to ageing, bringing together institutions and researchers from various countries, including Portugal, represented by DINÂMIA’CET-Iscte through researcher Filomena Gerardo Ponciano.

According to the organisers, the Director of the UNESCO Chairs Programme in France has encouraged the group to move forward with a process of labellization (official recognition), based on the federative nature of the project, led by the International SIAGE Chair in partnership with the REIACTIS network.

The project aims to consolidate an active international research network dedicated to ageing-related issues, strengthening scientific cooperation and the exchange of knowledge across different cultural and academic contexts.

The meeting with UNESCO will take place on 13 October at 2:00 p.m. (Paris time).
