DINÂMIA’CET-Iscte will host the book launch conference for Governing Solidarity in European Labour Markets: Atypical Employment and Minimum Wage Reform in Spain and Portugal on 5 June 2026, from 11:00 to 13:00, at Iscte – University Institute of Lisbon, Building 4, Auditoriums A306 and A302.

Edited by Paulo Marques, Rui Branco, Óscar Molina and Renato Miguel Carmo, the volume examines how Portugal and Spain have responded to labour market segmentation, precarious employment and minimum wage reform after the sovereign debt crisis. The session will place the book’s findings in dialogue with leading public and political voices.
The book will be presented by Yolanda Díaz, Second Vice-President of the Government of Spain and Minister for Labour and Social Economy, and Ana Mendes Godinho, former Portuguese Minister of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security. The discussion will be moderated by Raquel Martins, journalist at Público.
It will bring together academic and policy audiences.
