DINÂMIA’CET-Iscte will host the book launch conference for Governing Solidarity in European Labour Markets: Atypical Employment and Minimum Wage Reform in Spain and Portugal on 5 June 2026, from 11:00 to 13:00, at Iscte – University Institute of Lisbon, Building 4, Auditoriums A306 and A302.

The Iscte-Knowledge and Innovation – Technology Transfer and Valorization Centre, through its Research Unit, the Centre for Socioeconomic and Territorial Studies (DINÂMIA’CET-Iscte), hereby announces that it is accepting expressions of interest for the recruitment of a Senior Technician to perform duties within the Unit.

Interested applicants must demonstrate a professional background with consolidated experience in R&D Communication and Media.

DINÂMIA'CET-Iscte is pleased to invite to the launch of the publication on scientific research in architecture at LNEC, authored by Patrícia Bento d'Almeida (DINÂMIA'CET-Iscte), Teresa Marat-Mendes (DINÂMIA'CET-ISCTE), and Michel Toussaint.

This publication will be presented by Francisco Silva Dias and Helena Roseta, at Espaço Caleidoscópio / Quinta da Fonte do Anjo, on 9 June at 18:30.

Yolanda Díaz, Second Vice-President of the Government of Spain and Minister for Labour and Social Economy, and Ana Mendes Godinho, former Portuguese Minister of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security will present the book 'Governing Solidarity in European Labour Markets: Atypical Employment and Minimum Wage Reform in Spain and Portugal' this Thursday, 5 June, at Iscte-University Institute of Lisbon.

DINÂMIA’CET-Iscte expresses its deep sorrow at the passing of Edgar Morin (1921–2026), who died on 29 May 2026.

Edgar Morin was a leading intellectual figure and a constant source of inspiration for the scientific identity of the research unit. His work, particularly his reflections on the epistemology of complexity, transdisciplinarity, the ecology of action, and polycrisis, has provided an important conceptual framework for internal debate and for the strategic development of knowledge on the dynamics of socio-economic and territorial change.

Nuno Bento, researcher at DINÂMIA'CET-Iscte, helps us reflect on the current state of affairs regarding the energy transition, warning us: without looking at the demand side, “the share of renewables in final consumption will grow more slowly and the transition will become more expensive”.
