The second day of activities began with a pilgrimage on foot, between Nottveit and the church of Fana, passing through Øvre Titlestad, and was led by Lauritz Haarr and Reverend Einar Vegge. The group, constituted by 12 pilgrims, including the Portuguese team, crossed a very diverse rural territory of mountains, forests, river streams and farms, in a profusion of spaces, smells, sounds and different pavements, which made the experience unique and integrated into the territory. The leaders enriched the route with stops for meditation and historical understanding of the place.
The arrival at the church was accompanied by the ringing of bells and a comforting and inviting lunch, to rest and share the experience. In the afternoon, the program began with presentations in the church, with Dick van Dijk (from Utrecht), a specialist in the art of ringing bells, who explained a little about European bell culture, namely the art of playing carillons, and with Rolando Volzone (project coordinator), who presented the religious heritage of Torrão and the activities carried out with the community in February and March 2024. At the end there was time to climb the dizzying bell tower and participate in a traditional activity: walking, as a meditative process, along a rope maze.
