The objective of this project is to contribute to the knowledge of the processes of social recomposition in urban spaces recognized as "distinction", reconfigurations of their lifestyles and their importance in social and symbolic valuations, in the context of new debates that seek to characterize the experience of the contemporary city and new ways of living.Having Lisbon as a territorial support, there are several cases that could lead to this project in a more central urban context and in a traditionally more peripheral urban context. Here dynamic social and urban recomposition dynamics materialize, to be developed in an analytical-comparative framework around social recompositions, negotiations of values and spatial representations, consumption and lifestyles that structure the daily life of residents in spaces of distinction.
