Sonja Bekker – Senior researcher at the ReflecT research institute at Tilburg University, the Netherlands. In her work she specialises in European Employment and Social Policies and European Governance, and moreover deals with the labour market position of flexible workers and youth. Moreover, she is the Dutch correspondent for the SYSDEM network of labour market experts for the European Commission and she is a board member of the Dutch Association for Industrial Relations.
Marta Luís Pereira – Grant-holder at DINÂMIA’CET-IUL within the scope of the following research project: ‘Flexible wages for flexible contracts? The dynamics of the relationship between wage policy and employment contracts at the firm level’. She completed her Licenciatura (MA Honours) in Sociology, at Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE-IUL) and she is currently attending a Master Degree in Human Resources Development Policies. Her main research interests are youth labour market, transition from school to work, overeducation, job mismatch and human resource management.
Fátima Suleman – Assistant Professor at the Department of Political Economy at Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE-IUL) and researcher fellow at DINÂMIA’CET – IUL. She received her PhD in Economics from ISCTE-IUL, Portugal, and University of Bourgogne, Dijon, France on ‘The production and value of skills in the labour market: from the neoclassical approach to the economics of conventions’. She has directed national projects on skills needs at regional and industry levels. Fátima is leading the project “Flexible wages for flexible contracts? The dynamics of the relationship between wage policy and employment contracts at firm-level”.
